Dental malocclusions are very common, and generate multiple problems in the patient's oral health, in regards to the study of this research work we focus on one of the most important problems, that has to do with the appearance of the person, we set ourselves the following question how much can change the position of the upper lip in patients treated with the upper first premolars extractions using the Amalgamated technique? to arrive at the answer to this question first of all analyze the classification of malocclusion, in general and specifically expands the information in the class II division 1, due to this class is that produces the overtaking of the upper lip, which measure it by the method of Ricketts, applying the flat aesthetic for analysis and diagnosis, If the result is a proquelia, proceeds to design the plan of treatment, which may include performing dental extractions, which becomes a case study and taking into account due and suitable care is usually picked at the upper first premolars by its proximity to the anterior, by the amalgamated technique, correct occlusion leading to class II division 1 to a class I normoclusion. This investigation is bounded type because it was in a group of patients with class II malocclusion, in the pilot school graduate school of dentistry and used methods historical, logical, analytical and synthetic, arriving at the result of research that affirms the effectiveness of treatment for retrude the upper lip. This work will bring benefits to the knowledge of the area since orthodontic which is an original theme.
