The elaboration of this research is developed based on bibliographic reviews on the studies of ceramics, which offer a series of advantages such as esthetics, biocompatibility, resistance to wear, compression and abrasion, and precise contacts. Since today there is a great variety of ceramics, it is the professional's responsibility to know their properties, advantages and disadvantages of each one in order to have the appropriate treatment plan depending on the diagnosis and needs of each patient. Ceramic veneers can correct the shape and position of teeth. Objective: To define the preparation and cementation protocol for ceramic veneers in the anterior sector. Material and Methods: A Qualitative, Exploratory and Documentary design is proposed, referring to the protocol of preparation and cementation of ceramic veneers in the anterior sector. References and bibliographic sources were obtained from Pubmed and Scielo articles published in the last 5 years. Conclusion: The protocol of preparation and cementation of ceramic veneers in the anterior sector, present a lower risk of failure and a higher survival than composite veneers made by indirect technique. During the dental veneers procedure, several types of materials will be used, which must be handled by both the operator and the assistant to ensure an optimal result. All the updated information on the protocol of preparation and cementation of ceramic veneers in the anterior sector is in the range of the last five years and will be useful for future research.
