Resumen
Introducción: A partir de la extracción quirúrgica del tercer molar empieza la cicatrización de tejidos alveolares, lo cual representa un proceso fisiológico del cuerpo que se da mediante diferentes tipos de mecanismos. El tipo de cicatrización que conlleva a varios problemas en el paciente suele estar relacionada a la cicatrización por segunda intención, causando dolor, inflamación, sangrados, infecciones entre otras lo cual se desea evitar con tratamientos adecuados a cada necesidad. Objetivo: Analizar la fisiología de la cicatrización de tejidos post cirugía de terceros molares inferiores. Metodología: Este estudio es de tipo cualitativo, exploratorio, documental y descriptivo. Se utilizaron los métodos inductivo-deductivo y analítico-sintético. Realizado mediante la información veraz y concreta obtenida de artículos científicos desde el 2018 hasta la actualidad. Resultados: Los resultados demuestran que el manejo de la cirugía de terceros molares es un principal factor para que se pueda dar una cicatrización adecuada, el análisis de su fisiología demuestra que los mecanismos de cicatrización por primera intención es la más segura con ayuda de la sutura lo cual evita múltiples complicaciones en el paciente. Conclusión: El uso de tratamiento como los corticoides, analgésicos, crioterapia, injertos óseos y la fibrina rica en plaquetas mejoran la cicatrización en el paciente evitan molestias, el mecanismo de cicatrización es el mismo tanto en la cicatrización por primera intención como en la segunda, a pesar de que una es más complicada que la otra.
Introduction:After the surgical extraction of the third molar, alveolar tissue healing begins, which represents a physiological process of the body that occurs through different types of mechanisms. The type of healing that leads to various problems in the patient is usually related to healing by the second intention, causing pain, inflammation, bleeding, and infections, among others, which is to be avoided with appropriate treatments for each need.Objective:To analyze the physiology of tissue healing after lower third molar surgery.Methodology:This is a qualitative, exploratory, documentary, and descriptive study.Inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic methods were used. Carried out using truthful and concrete information obtained from scientific articles from 2018 to the present.Results: The results show that the management of third molar surgery is the main factor for adequate healing to occur, the analysis of its physiology shows that the mechanisms of healing by the first intention are the safest with the help of suture which avoids multiple complications in the patient.Conclusion: The use of treatments such as corticosteroids, analgesics, cryotherapy, bone grafts, and platelet-rich fibrin improve healing in the patient and avoid discomfort, the healing mechanism is the same in both first intention and second intention healing, although one is more complicated than the other.
