The present degree work consists of verifying the characteristics of a conventional mixture with a mixture modified with RAP, to apply these materials in the design of a flexible pavement structure. Through laboratory tests, the volumetric and mechanical characteristics of both mixtures were evaluated. The design of the flexible pavement structure was carried out using the ASSHTO 93 method. The percentage of RAP to be used in the mixture modified with RAP was 20%, since up to this percentage it is recommended to use the Marshall method for its design. Characterization tests were carried out on the materials used for the design of both mixtures for both the aggregate and the asphalt binder, thus complying with the requirements established by the MTOP regulations. With the results obtained from the Marshall test of both mixtures, were determined that the flexible pavement structure of the road of La Carmela Village in the Canton Santa Lucía can be designed with the hot asphalt mixture with 20% RAP, to save costs, preserve the energy and natural resources
