Resumen
El presente trabajo de titulación, basado en el proceso de rastreo y geolocalización de
mascotas a través de la generación de código QR, dirigido a la veterinaria “Mordisco” de la
ciudad de Guayaquil, tiene como objetivo principal contribuir a la reducción de pérdidas de
mascotas en el sector de Mapasingue, ayudando a que los dueños sean más responsables
respecto a sus cuidados y bienestar. Además, mediante esta app la veterinaria tendrá la
posibilidad de publicitar su marca, ofreciendo un producto que proveerá una mejora
significativa en la calidad de vida de las mascotas de sus clientes. En cuanto a la metodología
empleada dentro de la investigación, se trabajó mediante el tipo de investigación aplicada,
bajo un enfoque cuantitativo; con el cual se aplicó la técnica encuesta y el instrumento
cuestionario; mismos que fueron dirigidos a los clientes de la veterinaria para el respectivo
levantamiento de información. A partir de ello, se procedió con el diseño y desarrollo de la
app, donde se empleó la metodología de desarrollo ICONIX, con un modelo de 3 capas
MVC (Modelo, Vista, Controlador), seguido del entorno Android Studio, api Google Maps,
y el lenguaje de programación Java, esto en conjunto la base de datos Firebase; donde se
almacenaron cada una de las colecciones con sus respectivos campos json de tipo post.
Finalmente, se concluye que la aplicación funciona eficazmente gracias a las pruebas y
resultados obtenidos, cumpliendo los puntos establecidos en el proyecto.
This degree work, based on the process of tracking and geolocation of pets through the generation of QR code, aimed at the veterinary "Mordisco" in the city of Guayaquil, has as its main objective to contribute to the reduction of pet losses in the sector of Mapasingue, helping owners to be more responsible about their care and welfare. In addition, through this app, the veterinarian will have the opportunity to advertise its brand, offering a product that will provide a significant improvement in the quality of life of its clients' pets. Regarding the methodology used in the research, we worked through the type of applied research under a quantitative approach, with which the survey technique and the questionnaire instrument were applied; the same was directed to the veterinarian's clients for the respective collection of information. From this, we proceeded with the design and development of the app, where the ICONIX development methodology was used, with a 3-layer MVC model (Model, View, Controller), followed by the Android Studio environment, Google Maps API, and the Java programming language, this together with the Firebase database; where each of the collections were stored with their respective JSON fields of type post. Finally, it is concluded that the application works effectively thanks to the tests and results obtained, fulfilling the points established in the project.
