The orthodontic micro-implants are an innovation and are employed in dental clinics in order to increase anchorage for orthodontic treatment. An orthodontic micro-implant is a small Titanium screw used by orthodontists to achieve a fixed fulcrum from which to exert traction of teeth by facilitating and simplifying the treatment of dental braces. The orthodontic micro-implants help to make movement difficult to achieve with conventional brackets. Are characterized by microscrews of Titanium implants or very small (6 to 10 mm) placed in the patient's bone very easily and without discomfort can be easily removed after completion of orthodontic movement desired. The orthodontic micro-implants are placed to provide orthodontic anchorage are temporary anchoring mechanisms are removed when orthodontic treatment ends. The microimplants allow orthodontic movements are made with less time and with greater patient comfort. The micro-implants are the best and easiest way to obtain absolute anchorage for orthodontic treatment. Different types of head and design are available in the market, and its use depends on each situation. The micro-implants have revolutionized orthodontic treatment, because it allows the orthodontist to place braces without touching the posterior teeth to move the teeth. The micro-implants are easy to insert and remove, just put a bit of anesthesia and a small screwdriver was removed without discomfort. The temporary anchor microimplants help in some cases, reduce treatment time, getting better results with its use, sometimes even help us avoid orthodontic treatment and surgery agreed, resolved solely through orthodontics. Currently in the orthodontic micro-implants are used successfully for a variety of movements without attachment to the adjacent teeth
