The mechanics of orthodontic treatment is determined by four main elements: selection of appliances (braces), placement of the apparatus, selection of bows and force levels, can only be achieved efficiently and systematic treatment if they are used to balance these elements can variation or alteration of any of them significant influence over the other, leading to inadequate treatment or even failure of this. MBT treatment philosophy, is comprised of: selection of brackets, braces versatility, precise placement of brackets, continuous light forces in the initial stages requires the use of thin, flexible arches with a minimum deflection. Roth's work, emphasizes one set of brackets with which it can handle cases with and without extractions. He is credited with a special emphasis on the use of brokers for diagnostic records, initial construction and positioning splints gnathologic the end of treatment, for proper positioning of the articular condyle. For this proposal uses 150 records of patients treated in the orthodontic graduate clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry. The research is correlational or explanatory, seeks to explain two methods in experimental groups, MBT and Roth in relation to the occlusal plane in Class II patients. whose purpose is to compare which of two orthodontic techniques to produce better results.
