Adaptación de cinco híbridos de pimiento Capsicum annuum L. en la zona de Catarama, cantón Urdaneta provincia de Los Ríos

Resumen
El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la capacidad de adaptación de cinco híbridos de pimiento y sus características agronómicas y rendimiento en la zona de Catarama, cantón Urdaneta provincia de Los Ríos.
El diseño experimental fue bloques completos al azar, con cuatro repeticiones; con cinco tratamientos (4 híbridos y 1 testigo Hibrido Salvador).
Basado en los resultados obtenidos se puede concluir que:
Los tratamientos Magaly, Martha y Dhara, presentaron una buena adaptación a las condiciones climáticas y de suelo de la zona, porque mostraron una adecuada altura de planta y precocidad a la floración.
El tratamiento Martha tuvo el mayor rendimiento con 28602 kg ha-1, seguido del tratamiento Dhara con 24097 kg ha-1. El tratamiento que reportó el menor rendimiento fue el híbrido Belconi que alcanzó 15708 kg ha-1.
Respecto del análisis económico, el tratamiento que presentó la mayor rentabilidad fue el hibrido Martha con 4608,39 dólares·ha-1, seguido del tratamiento Magaly con 2950,69 $·ha-1. El tratamiento que mostró menor rentabilidad fue el Belconi con 2467,59 dólares por hectárea.
The objective of this research was to evaluate the adaptability five pepper hybrids and agronomic characteristics and performance in the area of Catarama, Urdaneta Canton province of Los Rios. The experimental design was randomized complete block with four replications; with five treatments (4 hybrids and one witness Hybrid Salvador). Based on the results obtained it can be concluded that: The Magaly, Martha and Dhara, treatments showed a good adaptation to climatic and soil conditions of the area, because they showed adequate plant height and earliness to bloom. Martha treatment had the best performance with 28602 kg ha-1, followed by treatment with Dhara 24097 kg ha-1. The treatment was reported the lowest yield hybrid Belconi reached the 15708 kg ha-1. Regarding the economic analysis, the treatment showed the highest profitability was a hybrid Martha $ 4,608.39 · ha-1, followed by treatment with Magaly $ 2,950.69 · ha-1. The treatment showed lower profitability was Belconi with $ 2,467.59 per hectare.
