    The impact of video clips on the development of the listening skill

    The research work aims to determine the incidence of video clips for the improvement of listening skills in English language as a second language. This is done using a mixed methodology by which it is analysed: First, the student’s point of view with the application of a survey in which they mention that the teaching process should be progressive and according to the issues raised by agreeing to the use of science fiction video clips to retain their attention. Second, by means of an interview the opinion of the teacher is analyzed which indicates that time is the factor that forces him to develop maximum three listening activities monthly. Finally, the researchers check the situation with an observation sheet demonstrating the deficiencies of the students and the lack of motivation in the proposed activities. The video clips are a new tool that encourages students to participate in the learning process and gives way to other researchers to infer in their possibilities and their application.
