Resumen
ARCOR. Es una empresa internacional considerada como el primer productor mundial de caramelos y la empresa más importante de la región en capacidad productiva, volumen de ventas y desarrollo de marcas. En Ecuador la compañía desarrolla sus actividades bajo la razón social de UNIDAL Ecuador S. A. que importa y comercializa los productos a través de 30 distribuidores independientes. Las golosinas forman parte de la lista de productos o bienes de consumo incluidas en las subpartidas que empezaron a pagar salvaguardas arancelarias del 45% desde el 11 de marzo del 2015, en el Ecuador se los considera bienes suntuarios pero tienen una alta demanda en cualquier época del año, para fiestas infantiles, cumpleaños y cualquier actividad social. Los comercializadores de estos productos consideran que a la industria nacional todavía le falta crecer para sustituir la variedad y capacidad de producción de otros países como Argentina, Colombia, Perú y China que son los principales proveedores de estas golosinas en el país. ARCOR enfrentó una disminución considerable en sus ventas con respecto al año 2014; como resultado de la imposición de estas sobretasas. Las ventas en el año 2015 con relación del 2014 disminuyeron en promedio 19%, causando impactos financieros en la economía de la empresa. Esta investigación analizara cuales fueron y sus efectos en la empresa y su entorno socio económico.

In Ecuador the company operates under the name of S. A. Unidal Ecuador that imports and markets products through 30 independent distributors. Sales in 2015 regarding 2014 decreased on average by 19%, causing financial impacts on the economy of the company. This research which were analyzed and their effects on the company and its socioeconomic environment.
