The patients with mandibular fracture by trauma or various causes will cause pain and dysfunction in the affected sector; so it is necessary to know their diagnosis and subsequent treatment, in this paper we study the mandibular fracture: definition, diagnosis and treatment (cerclage) based in the case of a mandibular fracture of a patient who suffered a traffic accident in the which immobilization technique (cerclage), and surgery was done through the use of choker, choker channel separator lingual, fracture reduction forceps, scalpels, suture, Erich splint, wire mooring number 15, intermaxilares leagues of1 / 4, Piza needle holder, and small hemostat grade, patient outcome was very good, it is concluded that the immobilization technique using intermaxillary cerclage and links to very good results, since the fracture exceeded in about a month, during which time the patient did not present any complication, the main recommendation is that the patient must undergo a soft diet as throughout the duration of the treatment the patient can not move the jaw, at the time of the lock-jaw, consider occlusion that can cause bad cases of iatrogenic occlusion, since at the time of the grounding the teeth will be located on the site where they will be inmovilizadas.
