Helicobacter pylori infection is probably the most widely chronic infection spread among humans, it is estimated that about 50% of the world population is affected by this pathogen. Ecuador being a developing country, its prevalence for H. pylori infection is high, however despite being a common infection, scientific evidence supported by an acceptable methodology in relation to the prevalence of bacteria, is virtually nonexistent Here lies the importance of determining the prevalence of bacteria in the asymptomatic population. The objective of this investigation is to determine the prevalence of H. pylori in asymptomatic patients who come to Correa Laboratory in 2014. The research results indicate that the prevalence of H. pylori in asymptomatic patients is 26%, the age group is between 30 and 50 years, of which 62% are female and 38% were male, it should be noted that 72% of them consume their processed foods out of your home. It can be concluded that there is a higher prevalence of H. pylori infection in patients who are fed out of your home and that the bacteria have greater presence in women than in men. It is proposed that the governing bodies of Sanitary Control of work included within the requirements for running local that provide food service H. pylori analysis for staff working in the kitchen, so they would get significant economic savings the State budget and health institutions
