Necesidades de formación y actualización de los docentes de matemáticas en el bachillerato y oferta académica de cuarto nivel en la Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Guayaquil en el año 2012

Resumen
El propósito de este trabajo es dar una alternativa de solución a la
problemática que se presenta en las instituciones de educación
secundaria y en las Universidades, la misma se ha visto reflejada con
mayor énfasis en los últimos exámenes que se tomaron a los
estudiantes para el ingreso al sistema de educación superior. Esta
tiene que ver con las necesidades de formación y actualización de
los docentes de matemática en el bachillerato, las cuales no han
podido ser cubiertas por las pocas ofertas académicas
profesionalizantes de cuarto nivel que ofrecen las distintas
instituciones de Educación Superior. Como aporte para entender
esta situación y llegar a una solución de la misma se presenta en el
marco teórico una serie de fundamentaciones: en la parte
epistemológica se tiene la teoría del pragmatismo, en la filosófica el
materialismo dialéctico, en la pedagógica el constructivismo y el
paradigma sociocrítico, en la psicológica, el aporte de Piaget. La
modalidad de la investigación realizada corresponde a la
bibliográfica y de campo, se toma una muestra no probabilística
intencional de docentes de Matemática en diversos colegios fiscales,
particulares y fiscomisionales de la ciudad de Guayaquil así como
estudiantes de bachillerato de dichos colegios. Para finalizar se da
una propuesta que corresponde al diseño de un programa de
Maestría en el Aprendizaje de la Matemática, el mismo que será de
beneficio para el Instituto de Postgrado de la Facultad de Filosofía,
Letras y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Guayaquil,
para los docentes de bachillerato y para los estudiantes.
The purpose of this project is to provide an alternative solution to the problem that occurs in secondary education institutions and Universities; the same that has been reflected more strongly in recent tests that were taken to students to get into the higher education system. This has to do with the training require needs and updating of mathematics teachers in high school, which have not been covered due to the few academic proposals to fourth level professional offered by different colleges. In order to contribute the understanding of this situation and find out a solution for the problem stated before, here is presented a solution based on a series of theoretical foundations; in the epistemology area we have the pragmatism theory, in the philosophical the dialectical materialism, in the pedagogical the constructivism and the social paradigm so finally in the psychological area we have Piaget's contribution. The research mode for this project is based on the bibliography and from the experimentation field we are taking non-probability samples from intentional mathematics teachers in various public, private and governmental schools in Guayaquil and so high school students from schools mentioned before. Finally a proposal is given which agrees to the design of a Master's program in the Learning of Mathematics, the same that will benefit the “Postgraduate Institute in the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Sciences Education at the University of Guayaquil”, and so high schoolteachers and their students.
