The objective of this study is to establish a prescription antibiotic in acute periapical infections, which have their origin as a result of the different pathways of microbial access that the piece presents. Throughout the bibliographical review, it can be established that antibiotics in the endodontic therapy will fulfill the function of adjuvant treatment because the biomechanics preparation and the irrigators have the function of eliminating much of the process Infection located in the duct. Therefore, the antibiotic of choice prescribed post-endodontic therapy should be one that can encompass a large part of microorganisms located at the apice dental. That is to say, a broad spectrum drug, in this case amoxicillin which is a bactericide, characterized by exercising its action in aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms, while in patients allergic to penicillin is prescribed clindamycin as a medication of choice. Through studies it was found that both antibiotics showed great efficacy in this type of acute injury
