OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to identify predisposing factors and complications in patients undergoing dialysis therapy at the Institute of Kidney Dialysis and San Martin in the year 2013-2015. METHOD: For this study, patients who have entered Replacement Therapy Renal included - diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure Terminal during 2013 to 2015 and served at the Institute of Kidney and Dialysis San Martin, patients were excluded in therapy renal replacement without complications, risk factors and that do not meet the inclusion criteria. The study is retrospective Descriptive using information that is in the records of the database statistics department of patients seen during the study period, at the Institute of Kidney and Dialysis San Martin, the same will be tabulated in Tables graphics. RESULTS: Patients were studied met the inclusion and exclusion criteria described in the work. The research results are processed using statistical system, whose data were collected from medical records system at the Institute of Kidney and Dialysis San Martin, the main results indicated that the total sample of 215 patients undergoing therapy dialysis only 193 patients had complications among the most frequent which turned out to be hypotension with 80% of the total sample cramps followed with 72%, 62% infections. Among the risk factors identified were inadequate management of antihypertensive medication with 39.3% followed by poor control diet with 23.6 % of the total sample. CONCLUSION: thanks to this project we could establish an orderly, tabulated and truthfully that the complication rate was 89.7% of the total universe of patients undergoing dialysis therapy in 2013-2015
