The main objective of this research work is the commercial relationship between Ecuador and China in the period 2009-2016, to determine its impact on the Ecuadorian trade balance. Ecuador has maintained a negative trade balance during the period 2009-2015, because imports have been more important than the others, another factor that determines the fall in the price of oil per barrel from 2014 to 2016, Ecuador exports crude oil from East and Napo with a lower price than the international, because it is lower in quality. During the government of the economist, Rafael Correa Delgado made large investments in the commercial and investment markets with the Republic of China, but this has caused imports from China every year to increase significantly. In the end, a proposal is established to improve market diversification, create investment and bargaining opportunities for companies, and generate a greater export that positively favors the country's trade balance.
