Burns are acute tissue injury caused by contact with a thermal agent, the morbidity and mortality associated with this type of injury is a serious public health problem in our country. This study was based on the use of plasma rich in growth factors in pediatric patients with burns of second degree superficial and deep admitted to the Burn Unit of Children's Hospital Francisco Icaza Bustamante. a correlational, cross-sectional research was carried out and also a non-experimental, longitudinal design, where FEDPALLA scale for assessing the degree of epithelialization was applied was applied. It was conducted from December 2015 to July 2016 in a sample of 40 pediatric patients, who were chosen according to criteria of inclusion and exclusion. The results evidenced the study was the reduction of at least 2.5 days on average epithelialization and recovery of this pathology, demonstrating the clinical efficacy of the use of plasma rich in growth factors in burns of second superficial and deep level. 6.57 between the surface and deep burn in terms of the early days of epithelialization, and a value of T - 9.86 in the relationship between the total days of epithelialization and the degree of burn addition of a Student t test was obtained. It was concluded that if there is a difference in the use of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors between these two lesions. And that ages with better degree of epithelialization with this treatment are aged between 0 and 10 years, so it is believed that the use of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors shortens the time of epithelialization and better way burns second degree surface.
