The prominent ear category is a congenital deformity with an incidence of 5% in Caucasians. Treatment that associates different techniques to correct each individual defect provides natural results. This research was conducted, in order to determine the effects of the application of combined alternatives for treatment of prominent ears in patients younger than 15 years treated at "Francisco de Ycaza Bustamante"Children's Hospital in the period from January 2014 and December 2015. The sample consisted of 105 patients attended by prominent ears in the hospital institution and period objects of study which underwent surgical techniques combined as part of treatment. An observational, descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective study using clinical records of patients as a source of data collection, and implementation of a survey designed to study the effects. This condition was more frequent in male patients, primarily was observed between 5 and 8 years-old.The main cause of the deformity was the underdevelopment of the anti-helix, which could be corrected between 1 and 2 hours of surgical time most of the time. Generally they showed satisfactory results, the incidence of complications little achieved, predominantly small cutaneous hemorrhages, and maintain a hospital stay about 3 to 5 days more than half of the cases.
