The influence that the correct use of basic vocabulary has in the development of reading skill

Resumen
Currently, the role of vocabulary in the teaching of reading skill has become in an important part in the learning process and it also has been considered in one of the essential issues treated in academic environment. One of the reason what this topic was selected is the poor comprehension that students have at the moment of read some text, paragraph, and even sentences, it happens because they do not possess an extensive prior knowledge that can help them not to translate but to interpret the general idea about what they have read. Besides this skill has been well recognized in first language acquisition for that reason is imperative its correct socialization. However, in relation to a socio-cultural context, for example in public high schools where English is designated as foreign language and most of the students do not give the real importance that this subject deserves and it occurs since teachers are not encouraging them to learn the English in an appropriate way, the relationship between knowledge and learners are separated by a wall that prevent the improvement of this language. The development of this work has been designed according to the students needs and the deficiency that shows the public education in this country.
