The study of Food Habits in young adults attending the health subcenter of the Cerecita Canton Guayaquil campus allows us to establish the causes that produce bad eating habits, ignorance about a balanced diet, nutritional problems. The objectives set to determine the causes of the inadequate eating habits of young adults, allowed to know the reasons that motivate respondents to eat junk food or low nutritional content, in addition to the lack of knowledge of the people who prepare food and the lack of food education for the population that allows them to correctly choose healthy foods for good nutrition, which makes people prefer to eat snacks or high-fat foods daily to replace any of the meals by this type of food that harms health. The research was described, projective and feasible, bibliographic and field material was used that was carried out in the health sub center of Recrec Cerecita, the collection and processing of information tools allowed the analysis and explanation of the problem to improve the quality of feeding of young adults, for which the proposal of a counseling program was designed to increase and promote adequate dietary habits, which will benefit the population. Therefore it is recommended to design a project that includes content on health education, to promote a healthy diet at home, in order to reduce nutritional risks; the development of workshops, to encourage the preparation of food in a hygienic and healthy way using few economic resources but in nutritious foods so that in this way they diminish the nutritional risks in the future
