The fundamental purpose of this thesis is to disseminate to health professionals and especially to technologists and graduates in imaging, which is the tomography one of the most requested and reliable diagnostic imaging techniques in the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis and also explain in a very specific way the different techniques of obtaining, reconstructing and selecting the images, both in the simple studies and in the contrasted studies since at present the technologist or the graduate in imaging must have a high degree of knowledge in the application of protocols to choose that the different tomographic softwer provide us, as well as the concentrations, volumes and injection speed of the contrast medium which are fully detailed in this thesis. This work was elaborated with a descriptive type of investigation being documentary and bibliographic using the inductive - deductive methodology, using the incorporation as an essential technique for the elaboration of this, being its instruments the bibliographic records as the biobibliographic and the mnemonic, participant observation, not participant, scientific reading and demonstrating the types of methodological steps to follow to carry out the thesis. Since the information obtained and applied to this topic has as a source, texts of great medical content as well as several texts of research methodology. The subject investigated is of the utmost importance since it brings to light the reason why this pathology since this kind of liver disease is quite common in patients with a history of alcoholism, hepatitis C, among others. This work shows us the varied tomographic techniques applied for the respective diagnosis of liver cirrhosis; this work also contributes and enriches the educational knowledge of each one of the students of the medical technology school of the career of Imaging.
