varias especies considerados plaga.
orizicolus, Eupteryx artemisiae y O. poecilus. Se identificó otras especies del
Género Oebalus e Hydrellia.
Rice cultivation is attacked by countless pest insects and for their control they incur the application of broad-spectrum insecticides to the environment. For the collection of insects an entomological network was used. Samples of insects were collected in various sectors of the Daule Canton in the SFL-011 variety. The objective was to collect updated information on the plague insects that attacks this economically important agricultural area of the Ecuadorian coast. The samples entered the entomology laboratory of AGROCALIDAD, where assemblies of several species of plague insects were made and with the help of several taxonomic keys, the identifications of several species considered plague were made. Throughout the crop development cycle, a total of 36 different identified pest insects were obtained. In the vegetative stage, 28 insect pests were identified, of which the Delphacidae family stands out with Tagosodes orizicolus as the predominant pest insect during this phase. In the reproductive stage, 28 insects were obtained, but Rupella albinella, Eupteryx artemisiae and Oebalus poecilus stand out with a greater population, and in the maturation stage 15 species of insects considered to be plague were identified, standing out T. orizicolus, Eupteryx artemisiae and O. poecilus. Other species of the genus Oebalus and Hydrellia were identified.
