The fibroid uterus is a slowly progressive disease that hormonal dependence suffers deprivation before menopause. Sometimes can cause serious complications like blood count causing chronic anemia, thrombosis, torsion and compression of anatomical structures. The fibroid is a benign tumor composed mainly of smooth muscle and joint tissue. They are the most common tumors of the female genital tract with an incidence of 20-25% in Caucasians, being higher in blacks with 50%. The peak age of incidence is 35-54 years (accounting for 90% of cases) usually multiple in most cases. They are initiated in the form of small nodules, and chronically increase progressively, in most cases, are located in the uterine body in 80% of patients. The flower of the symptoms shown by metrorrhagia, while closer to the mucosa that the fibroid, hypogastric and irradiated to the back pain discomfort. Eventually compresses nearby anatomical structures and organs, determining astasias blood in the legs or sacral plexus neuralgia. Advantageously we have friendly methods for early diagnosis, although it is still often a subclinical disease, present in almost 75% of women considering not suffer it, so their early detection and prompt treatment is essential for management best of fibromiomatoso uterus.
