Background. - The Angiopalstia Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary (PTCA) technique repurfusion is a partially or totally occluded coronary artery, by placing a stent capable of restoring the blood flow partially or totally of ischemic tissue. Ischemic heart disease is a major disease that increases the rate of mortality in modern society being Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) one of its main presentation, so proper treatment during an emergency to help us index decrease in that patient with the right to perform the procedure Angiopalstia transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), without forgetting of course characteristics is the importance of time from the beginning of the process until hemodynamic intervention, known as same period time-ball. Objectives. - The present study has as main objective, to determine the incidence of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty in heart attack patients, interventional cardiology service in Alcivar Hospital, during the period March 2014 to March 2015. Methodology. - This is an observational, descriptive, retrospective study in Alcivar Hospital in the period from March 2014 to March 2015. Results.- report a clinical study - surgical on acute myocardial infarction in 100 patients of both sexes, where male patients predominated the female with 65% on 35%, respectively, they were distributed into age groups from 30-90 years, where age between 66-70 years old constituted the group with the highest incidence, chest pain being the most common symptom. Conclusion. - After conducting this study we conclude that despite the limitations that were in it, the results were extremely valuable, because not only could demonstrate the validity of the hypothesis, but it could also meet all the goals we set out from the start
