Biodiversity and distribution of zooplankton present in the Guayas River during the high tide is a reflection of the marine biological contribution and their relationship fresh and brackish water in the mouth itself. Zooplankton samplings were conducted between March and November 2010, with networks of 300 microns, during high tide. Dominated the crustacean and particularly copepods and cladocerans, mainly represented by species Pseudodiaptomus longispinosus, Acartia sp. and Acartia tonsa in calanoid copepods. Pseudodiaptomus longispinosus was the most widely distributed species in the dry season (August to November) and Thermocyclops decipiens in the rainy season (March-May). and the genera Moina, Sida, Daphnia and Macrothrix among cladocerans
