“Comportamiento agronómico y productivo de híbrido de sandía (Citrullis lanatus L.), en la parroquia Mariscal Sucre, cantón Milagro.”

Resumen
La presente investigación se realizó en la parroquia Mariscal Sucre, cantón
Milagro. Se estudiaron 3 híbridos (Crimson sweet, Quetzali y Royal charleston)
con y sin acolchado, se utilizó el diseño de bloques completamente al azar con
arreglo factorial (3 x 2). De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos se concluyó:
1.- El mayor rendimiento lo presentó el hibrido Crimson sweet con 86902,06
kg/ha, seguido del hibrido Quetzali y Royal charleston con 83286,56 y
80801,00 kg/ha respectivamente; 2.- El método de acolchado no permitió una
mayor longitud de guía, número de frutos, rendimiento, longitud y diámetro del
fruto, una floración más precoz con 2,20 m, 12 frutos, 83700,54 kg/ha, 33,10
cm, 15,89 cm, 29 días y 3.- Los tres híbridos obtuvieron un buen
comportamiento agronómico, Quetzali alcanzó el mayor número de frutos con
12, Royal charleston obtuvo el mayor peso, longitud y diámetro del fruto con
5,05kg, 34,85 cm y 17,31 cm respectivamente.
The presentresearch took place in the Mariscal Sucre parish, Milagro canton. 3 hybrids (Crimson sweet, Quetzali and Royal Charleston) with and without padding were studied. A completely randomized block design with factorial arrangement (3 x 2) wasimplemented. As for the gotten outcomes,we concluded that: 1) Crimson sweet hybrid showed the best yieldwith 86902.06 kg / ha, followed by the Quetzali and Royal Charleston hybrids with 83286.56 and 80801.00 kg / ha respectively. 2) The mulching method did not allow a greater length of guide, number of fruits, yield, length and diameter of the fruit, an earlier flowering with 2.20 m, 12 fruits, 83,700.54 kg / ha, 33.10 cm, 15.89 cm, 29 days and 3) The three hybrids got good agronomicyield.Quetzalihybrid got the highest number of fruits with 12, Royal Charlestongotthe highest weight, length and diameter of the fruit with 5.05kg, 34.85 cm and 17.31 cm respectively.
