Resumen
Las prótesis dentales son elementos artificiales que se usan con la
finalidad de devolverle al paciente sus dientes y su sistema
estomatognático , una buena anamnesis en el edentulismo, ya sea
parcial o total es un paso muy importante el éxito del tratamiento, en una
rehabilitación oral requiere de la elaboración de una historia clínica
minuciosa, que incluye examen extraoral e intraoral, modelos de estudios
y radiografías, después de cual se determinará el diagnóstico, el plan de
tratamiento y el pronóstico. En el cual vamos a restaurar los
componentes del sistema estomatognático perdido. La fonación, la
masticación y la estética la cual lleva a una buena deglución articulación y
oclusión correcta dando un confort y estabililidad a su prótesis,
presentando una buena armonía facial.
