Its objective was to determine the seroprevalence of antibodies against herpes viruses, using an observational or experimental, descriptive, the universe is all samples of patients who were treated during the period 2009 - 2011 in the city of Guayaquil in MSP Network Units, the results of which were 3569 patients seen in the city of Guayaquil, in the different Health Areas and Hospital outpatient in the period 2009 to 2011 of 34.99%. The positivity in females with 72.45%, in terms of most affected age group is constituted between 20-29 years with a 31.30% and the age group of 30-39 years with a 28.88% and 25.83% of the positive samples were from the Health Area # 7 with a 25.83%, followed by the Infectious Diseases Hospital with 11.28%. According to epidemiological weeks linear trend reflects an average constant cases disease behavior with variations weeks 22, 23, 36, 37, 38, 47. We recommend early detection of the disease, which can lead to a better prognosis couple's future, therefore, it should be stressed that the presence of any sign, go to the nearest health centers for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
