Chronotype is a person's natural preference for performing activities at different times of the day, influencing metabolism and eating habits. This research analyzed the relationship between chronotype and nutritional status among the administrative staff of FCM at the University of Guayaquil using a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, and correlational approach. A total of 80 adults were evaluated using the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) to determine chronotype and anthropometric measurements such as body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) to assess nutritional status. The results showed that 63.75% of participants had a morning chronotype, 50% were overweight, 46% showed an elevated WC risk, and 50% presented increased central adiposity. Although all participants with a morning chronotype exhibited poor nutritional status, no statistically significant relationship was found, highlighting the need for further research
