Propuesta de una estrategia de capacitación especializada a los profesionales del Instituto del Cáncer de Guayaquil SOLCA 2012

Resumen
El Ecuador con una población de 14.483.499 se diagnostican 6 mil nuevos casos de cáncer anualmente; En SOLCA Guayaquil con una población de influencia de 3.142.308 habitantes, se atienden aproximadamente 3200 nuevos casos de cáncer cada año. El estudio situacional determino que existen los posgrados de cirugía general, medicina interna, cirugía oncológica, oncoradioterapia, anestesiología y terapia del dolor, anatomía patológica e imágenes. Las encuestas realizadas al personal de especialistas de un total de 235. Se estableció que 97 eran medico 41%, 106 eran enfermera 45% y 32 eran especialistas no médico que representa 14%, la encuesta realizada al personal médico estableció la necesidad de reactivar los posgrados que se realizaban anteriormente en SOLCA como cuidados intensivos, neumología, gastroenterología, laboratorio clínico y oncopediatría y es necesario crear los posgrados de patología cervical (colposcopistas), citopatólogos, ginecología oncológica, mastologia, radioterapia y subespecialidades, patología y subespecialidades, oncología clínica, hematología, medicina nuclear, genetista, biología molecular, neurocirugía oncológica, traumatología oncológica, oncoplastia, psiquiatría oncológica, imágenes y subespecialidades, radioterapia y subespecialidades, cuidados paliativos y físicos médicos. La encuesta realizada al personal de enfermería estableció que es recomendable continuar con el posgrado de enfermería oncológica, hasta capacitar al total de dicho personal e incrementar el número de acuerdo a la demanda que se determinara anualmente. También las encuestas establecieron la necesidad de la capacitación de un epidemiólogo y un bioestadístico, como estrategia para cubrir las necesidades del instituto, Es recomendable dos promociones de todos los posgrados antes mencionados. Además considerando que SOLCA Guayaquil es la matriz puede abastecer y capacitar de acuerdo a la demanda de los otros núcleos y comité de amigos. Como la estrategia se debe aplicar progresivamente de acuerdo a los resultados del análisis de las necesidades de implementar los servicios, se podrá parar o incrementar la capacitación especializada. La estrategia de capacitación permitirá cubrir la demanda de los usuarios brindando una atención eficiente, eficaz y de calidez. En coordinación con el Ministerio de Salud, el IEES y el ISSFA. La institución cumpliría su principal objetivo que es la prevención, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento multidisciplinario y personalizado del cáncer.
