| dc.description.abstract | El síndrome del diente fisurado es una patología que se describió por primera vez en el año 1954, se presenta de manera común en los consultorios dentales y se caracteriza por la aparición de dolor a la masticación provocada por la presencia de una fisura en la estructura dental. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue describir el síndrome del diente fisurado, su etiología, diagnóstico y tratamiento, para esta, se revisaron diversos artículos científicos que se encontraban en revistas científicas como scielo, pubmed, researchgate, además de libros y páginas web que proporcionaban información relacionada con el tema de investigación. Los resultados de esta búsqueda exhaustiva fueron muy interesantes ya que revelaron que esta enfermedad es una de las causas más comunes para extracciones debido a su diagnóstico desacertado, su tratamiento y pronóstico dependen de la extensión de la grieta en la estructura dentaria y como conclusiones en base a los objetivos planteados se obtuvo que el síndrome del diente fisurado es una enfermedad multifactorial, debido a que diferentes pueden ser los causantes que favorezcan su aparición en boca, a pesar de que su diagnóstico puede ser confuso existen herramientas que nos pueden ayudar a identificarlo, como la resonancia magnética y el microscopio combinado con las transiluminación y en cuanto al tratamiento siempre se eligió como el más eficaz el tratamiento restaurador de recubrimiento cuspídeo Cracked tooth syndrome is a pathology that was described for the first time in 1954, it occurs commonly in dental offices and is characterized by the appearance of pain when chewing caused by the presence of a fissure in the tooth structure. .
