equitativa.
This research work addresses the problem of the vulnerability suffered by people with disabilities to access to decent work for the sole reason of their condition. Ecuador has made great progress in guaranteeing the rights of persons with disabilities, however, factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, political decisions and a lack of social awareness are among the main factors that have generated acts of discrimination. The work is approached from the application of the qualitative approach given the nature of the research topic. It has been evidenced how discrimination in Ecuador against people with disabilities in the workplace persists in an indirect way by limiting them to be part of jobs that do not match their skills. This work is relevant because it provides the criteria to achieve an increasingly equitable society.
