The present investigation aims to evaluate the impact of perineal tears on the quality of life of postpartum patients. The study adopts a non-experimental, observational and descriptive design, supported by bibliographic data, using surveys and questionnaires at the MediRuiz S.A.S medical center. According to the statistics compiled from the 152 Parturients investigated, who suffered some type of perineal tear or laceration, 53% suffered some type of discomfort, with 57 (37.3%) corresponding to GRADE I tears, 45 (29.40%) to ll degree tears, 6 (3.90%) to lll degree tears and 44 (28.80%) did not know the degree of tear they suffered, who reported the most pronounced discomfort. Although a considerable proportion of parturients face lacerations during childbirth, causing discomfort in intimate relationships and daily activities, a normalization of silent suffering is observed, since only 5.30% of patients seek medical assistance for these ailments. . . This finding suggests a lack of awareness or communication about the need to address these issues more proactively. Consequently, attention is highlighted to promote greater awareness and medical attention towards postpartum perineal tears, in order to improve the quality of life of affected women. These results emphasize the need for a more comprehensive and comprehensive approach to the physical and emotional challenges that women face after childbirth
