dc.description.abstract	La unión libre nació en el derecho romano, adoptándose en la legislación ecuatoriana en 1978. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar los efectos jurídicos por el goce de derechos civiles que surgen de la unión de hecho, analizando un caso donde la actora peticiona el patrimonio de su difunto cónyuge. Se aplicó la metodología descriptiva, cuali-cuantitativa, con encuestas y entrevistas a abogados y mujeres que conviven en unión libre, cuyos resulta dos evidenciaron que esta figura jurídica protege la familia, para que mujeres e hijos tengan derecho al patrimonio de sus progenitores y sucesión hereditaria en caso de fallecimiento. Se propuso la difusión de la unión de hecho para que la población femenina inscriba su estado civil en el Registro Civil y minimicen el trámite en juzgados civiles cuando reclamen sus derechos patrimoniales. En conclusión, los efectos jurídicos que surgen de la unión libre permiten el goce del patrimonio del conviviente	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Free union was born in Roman law, adopted in Ecuadorian legislation in 1978. The objective of the study was to analyze the legal effects of the enjoyment of civil rights that arise from the de facto union, analyzing a case where the plaintiff asks for the estate of your deceased spouse. The descriptive, qualitative-quantitative methodology was applied, with surveys and interviews with lawyers and women who live together in a free union, whose results showed that this legal figure protects the family, so that women and children have the right to the inheritance of their parents and inheritance in case of death. The dissemination of the de facto union was proposed so that the female population registers their civil status in the Civil Registry and minimizes the procedure in civil courts when claiming their economic rights. In conclusion, the legal effects that arise from the free union allow the enjoyment of the patrimony of the cohabiting.	es_ES
