Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2021-10) Preciado Jordán, Mónica María; Márquez Coloma, Nathan David; Feriz Otaño, LizmaryThe purpose of this educational project was to create didactic activities that promote teaching skills in the application of paraphrasing as a critical reading strategy for the development of writing skills at level A2, which will be used in posterity to provide teaching meaningful to students. Therefore, the general objective was to determine the influence of the application of paraphrasing as a critical reading strategy on the development of writing skills through a mixed investigation to develop reading activities that use paraphrasing as a critical reading strategy. The development of the research was through qualitative and quantitative methodology, since this study allowed to inquire about the problems experienced by the students through the three important lines that are observation, survey and interview. Therefore, the application of paraphrasing as a critical reading strategy as educational reinforcement has great relevance, since with them teachers will be able to develop the reconstruction of a text from understanding, becoming a very useful tool within learning since it prioritizes trust and communicative fluency in students
