Resumen
Se ejecutó un estudio descriptivo, bibliográfico y estadístico sobre el proceso de atención de enfermería en el cuidado del catéter Tenckhoff en pacientes con diálisis peritoneal en el área de nefrología del hospital Dr. Francisco Icaza Bustamante perteneciente a la ciudad de Guayaquil. El tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal ambulatorio acarrea sin lugar a dudas complicaciones para el paciente, como las infecciones que están asociadas al catéter de diálisis, formando una de las principales complicaciones de los pacientes en diálisis, con mayor riesgo bacteriemia y muerte, contrastados con otros accesos vasculares. El objetivo de la investigación es evaluar el proceso de atención de enfermería para establecer los factores asociados a sepsis por catéter Tenckhoff en pacientes con diálisis peritoneal ambulatorio atendidos en la institución. Se realizó recolección de datos mediante encuestas, analizando mediante gráficos y tabla cada una de las respuestas, en el cual se hallaron varias deficientes en el proceso de atención de enfermería y en los tutores de los pacientes que cursan por este proceso de diálisis , ya que se manifestó la mala gestión del cuidado, por tanto en este trabajo se realiza recomendaciones destinadas a mejorar el proceso de atención y rol del cuidado el cual engloba a el personal de enfermería que labora en el hospital, contribuyendo a cumplir el objetivo de dicha investigación.
A descriptive, bibliographic and statistical study was carried out on the process of nursing care in Tenckhoff catheter care in patients with ambulatory peritoneal dialysis in the area of nephrology of the Dr. Francisco Icaza Bustamante hospital belonging to the city of Guayaquil. The treatment of peritoneal dialysis undoubtedly leads to complications for the patient, such as infections that are associated with the dialysis catheter, forming one of the main complications of dialysis patients, with a higher risk of bacteremia and death, contrasted with other accesses Vascular The objective of the research is to evaluate the process of nursing care to establish the factors associated with sepsis by Tenckhoff catheter in patients with ambulatory peritoneal dialysis treated in the institution. Data was collected by means of surveys, analyzing each of the answers by graphs and table, in which there were several deficient in the process of nursing care and in the tutors of the patients who are enrolled in this dialysis process, since the poor management of the care was manifested, therefore in this work recommendations are made to improve the care process and role of care which includes the nursing staff that works in the hospital, contributing to fulfill the objective of this investigation.
