No obstante, existen diversos
This research aims to determine the relationship of Periodontal Disease and TMJ Dysfunction . After spending a few months on research with second year students of the Faculty of Dentistry yielded a more complete and thorough knowledge about the current state of dental apparatus support these patients and likewise about the progression of periodontal disease. This information also allowed to develop and implement early , economical, efficient and easy to apply that tend to prevent and control diseases that destroy the periodontium. This work was compiled through clinical assessments and periodontal radiographic information to establish current diagnostic and thus determine the number of patients showing recurrence of periodontitis and the number of patients could be healthy . ( 1 PRICHAR John F , 1968) Knowledge of the microbial flora present in different pathologies periodontal , has identified the organisms as etiologic agents are generally associated with the incidence and prevalence of gingivitis and periodontitis . However, there are several Personal factors and those that characterize an intrinsic population , such as hygiene group and the modifying factors , immune response and genotype , which make necessary to extend the knowledge regarding the degree periodontopathogenic incidence of certain bacterial species. Periodontal diseases or periodontitis occur when inflammation and infection of the gums ( gingivitis) is untreated 2 or when treatment is delayed . Infection and inflammation spreads from the gums ( gingiva ) to the ligaments and bone that serve to support the teeth. Inflammation causes between the gum and the teeth forming pockets that fill with plaque and tartar . The soft tissue swelling traps plate in the bag. Continued inflammation eventually causes destruction tissue and bone around the teeth . TMJ Dysfunction - . The temporomandibular joint (TMJ ) has been studied for many years, since the discovery of fossils and mummies. In Pharaonic Egypt , 3000 BC papyri do reference to the necessary care for the treatment of dislocation ATM. Babylonians and Assyrians : In his writings mentioned treatment by gingival massage with various medicinal herbs. Egyptians Periodontal disease was the most common and recognized disease in the embalmed bodies. ( 11Murray PA , Grassi F, 1989) Therefore the objective of this research is to analyze the different relationship periodontal disease with TMJ dysfunction . of the materials used for this research we review valdremos literature and documents found in magazines odontologías extracted from the internet , the expected results of this research will serve as a great support for community dentistry Pilot Faculty of Dentistry, for our future colleagues have a bibliographic reference for this process of correctly, know the protocol, clinical management , know your diagnosis and its complications in general.
