| dc.description.abstract | La diabetes mellitus es un desorden endocrino genético complejo multifactorial. Representa una anormalidad en el metabolismo de la glucosa debido a una deficiencia de insulina, es de suma importancia que el odontologo tenga claro los conocimientos sobre esta enfermedad, para que en la consulta pueda dar un diagnóstico y tratamiento oportuno dependiendo de las manifestaciones clínicas presentes en boca y las posibles alteraciones que se observen en el examen al momento de realizar la atención odontológica. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo porque se estudió profundamente el tema para el subdiagnostico y el inadecuado control pueden generar daños irreversibles, que vienen de la mano con un sin número de complicaciones que se deben tener presente; es por este motivo que el odontólogo no puede dejar pasar signos y síntomas de cada paciente durante una consulta. En el presente documento se analizan las consideraciones odontológicas que se debe tener al tratar un paciente diabético; ya sea en procedimientos rutinarios o cuando se debe actuar frente a cuadros de emergencias. El objetivo de esta investigación es: determinar el conocimiento del manejo de las complicaciones en la consulta odontológica de pacientes con diabetes tipo I. Conclusión: Para poder tener un buen diagnóstico y excelentes resultados el odontólogo debe tener conocimientos correctos sobre la diabetes tipo 1. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Diabetes mellitus is a multifactorial complex genetic endocrine disorder. It represents an abnormality in glucose metabolism due to insulin deficiency. It is of the utmost importance that the dentist has a clear understanding of this disease, so that in the consultation he/she can give a timely diagnosis and treatment depending on the clinical manifestations present in the mouth and the possible alterations that are observed in the examination at the time of dental care. Methods: A descriptive study was carried out because the subject was studied in depth for underdiagnosis and inadequate control can generate irreversible damage that goes hand in hand with a number of complications that should be taken into account; it is for this reason that the dentist cannot let the signs and symptoms of each patient pass during a consultation. This research analyzes the dental considerations that should be taken into account when treating a diabetic patient, whether in routine procedures or when there are emergencies to be dealt with. The objective of this research is: to determine the knowledge of the management of complications in the dental consultation of patients with type I diabetes. Conclusion: In order to have a good diagnosis and excellent results the dentist must have correct knowledge about type 1 diabetes. | es_ES |
