variables edad, sexo, raza y síntomas respiratorios .
The purpose of this research work was to isolate and identify the types of fungi that are present in the environment and in the upper respiratory tract in the Pura sangre racing equines (PSC) housed at the Miguel Salem Dibo Racecourse, in the province from Guayas, Ecuador. Whose population of 240 PSC equines, 51 animals were randomly selected, where we took samples of the environment where they were established, as well as the general place where they lived and a biological sample of the air exhaled by the equines to be able to relate to the variables age, sex , race and respiratory symptoms. This entire process of laboratory research lasted 2 months in which the presence of different types of fungi resulted; Aspergillus sp, Penicillium sp, Microsporum sp, Rhizopus sp, Mucor sp, which were the most found in the present study, where there was no significant statistical relationship to the specific variables.
