| dc.description.abstract | En el tratamiento protésico para pacientes edéntulos totales existen varias técnicas para la confección de prótesis total, cada técnica está indicada para pacientes con necesidades diferentes, por lo que es necesario conocer cuál es la técnica más conveniente para cada caso, de esta manera el odontólogo puede usar cada técnica para obtener un mejor resultado en el cual tanto el odontólogo y paciente queden satisfechos con la prótesis total confeccionada, en el presente estudio se determinó la percepción de los especialistas en rehabilitación oral de sobre el tratamiento de elección entre la técnica convencional y técnica de zona neutra en pacientes edéntulos totales. Para llevar a cabo la investigación se realizó encuestas a 20 rehabilitadores orales de la Facultad Piloto de Odontología de la Universidad de Guayaquil, para conocer su percepción, sobre estas técnicas, basándose en su experiencia y/o conocimiento, analizando los datos obtenidos con artículos científicos sobre la evidencia clínica al usar la técnica convencional y la técnica de zona neutra. Como resultado se obtuvo que los rehabilitadores orales tienen mayor conocimiento sobre la técnica convencional y es su técnica de confeccpión de prótesis total a elegir regularmente ya que han obtenido resultados satisfactorios con esta técnica. Con el análisis y síntesis de los resultado obtenidos se concluyó que las condiciones bucales del paciente y antecedentes son factores importantes para los especialistas en la selección de la técnica, sin embargo la técnica convencional sigue siendo el método predilecto por ellos ya que tienen mayor experiencia en la aplicación de esta. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | In the prosthetic treatment of total edentulous patients, there are several techniques for the preparation of total prosthesis, which is necessary for patients with different needs, so it is necessary to know the most effective technique for each case. This way, the dentist can obtain the final result in which the patient is satisfied with the use of the total prosthesis. In the present, study the use of the conventional method was compared with the neutral area technique for the understanding of the total prosthesis, to determine which one is the most effective. To carry out the research that was conducted surveys of 20 oral rehabilitators of the Pilot Faculty of Odontology of the University of Guayaquil, were conducted to know their perception on these techniques, based on their experience and / or knowledge, comparing with the analyzed data. On the clinical evidence when using the conventional technique and the neutral zone technique. As a result, it was obtained that the oral rehabilitators have greater knowledge about the conventional technique and its total prosthesis since they have obtained satisfactory results with this technique. With the analysis and synthesis of the results obtained, it is concluded that the neutral zone technique is more efficient for patients with much more demanding needs, such as cases of patients with cleft lip, or mutilating treatments such as hemimaxilectomy or in cases of patients with a history of prosthetic problems.
