dc.description.abstractEl Síndrome de Burnout también conocido “Síndrome de desgaste profesional”, “Síndrome del quemado”, entre muchos otros términos en español, se refiere a un estado de cansancio crónico físico y emocional resultante de las condiciones del trabajo. El presente análisis de caso tiene como objetivo determinar la incidencia del Síndrome de Burnout en el desempeño laboral de las psicólogas y trabajadoras sociales del Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil (DECE) de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal “Leonidas García” de la ciudad de Guayaquil. En la investigación participaron todas las profesionales del DECE de la institución, en total las 5 integrantes. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron para la recolección de información fueron el MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) que consta de 22 ítems tipo Likert, fue aplicado a los profesionales del DECE, éste sirve para determinar la presencia y nivel del Síndrome, como de sus tres componentes, para evaluar el desempeño laboral se utilizó una evaluación por Escala Gráfica. Mediante la investigación se pudo encontrar la presencia de agotamiento emocional, además de sobrecarga de trabajo como causa del Síndrome de Burnout que incide significativamente en el bajo Desempeño Laboral de estas profesionales. El resultado obtenido del objeto de estudio revela: el 60% de las profesionales experimentan el Síndrome en un nivel alto. Se sugiere realizar un estudio más profundo acerca de las consecuencias del síndrome y como éstas influyen en el desempeño laboral de las profesionales del Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil a corto y largo plazo.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe Burnout Syndrome also known as "Professional burnout syndrome", "Burning syndrome", among many other terms in Spanish, refers to a state of chronic physical and emotional exhaustion resulting from work conditions. The objective of this case analysis is to determine the incidence of Burnout Syndrome in the work performance of psychologists and social workers in the Department of Student Counseling (DECE) of the Fiscal Education Unit "Leonidas García" of the city of Guayaquil. All the DECE professionals of the institution participated in the research, in total the 5 members. The instruments used for the collection of information were the MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) which consists of 22 Likert-type items, was applied to DECE professionals, it is used to determine the presence and level of the Syndrome, as well as its three components , to evaluate the work performance, an evaluation by Graphic Scale was used. Through the research, it was possible to find the presence of emotional exhaustion, as well as work overload as a cause of the Burnout Syndrome that significantly affects the low Work Performance of these professionals. The result obtained from the object of study reveals: 60% of the professionals experience the Syndrome at a high level. It is suggested to carry out a deeper study about the consequences of the syndrome and how these influence the job performance of the professionals of the Department of Student Counseling in the short and long term.es_ES
