Resumen
La investigación analiza el impacto de la pandemia por Covid-19 surgida en el año 2020 y parte del 2021 en el otorgamiento de crédito por las entidades del sistema financiero público y privado del Ecuador. Es una problemática que inicialmente se evidencia en la caída del Producto Interno Bruto durante el año 2020. El objetivo general es Analizar la incidencia en la cartera de crédito de los bancos en Ecuador por la pandemia Covid-19, periodo 2019-2022. La metodología se basa en investigación documental, la principal fuente es la web de la entidad de control. Una de las conclusiones es que durante el año 2020 hubo una caída del crédito en alrededor un 10% que es por encima del PIB, esto se recuperó en el año 2021. Los sectores que crecieron en el año 2020 que fue tiempo de pandemia fueron alimentos, salud, actividades inmobiliarias, agricultura, saneamiento e industrias manufactureras.
The research analyzes the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic that emerged in 2020 and part of 2021 on the granting of credit by entities in the public and private financial system of Ecuador. Part of a problem evidenced in the fall in the Gross Domestic Product during the year 2020. To direct the work, the general objective is to analyze the impact on the credit portfolio of banks in Ecuador due to the Covid-19 pandemic, period 2019-2022. The methodology is based on documentary research, the main source is the website of the control entity.
