The aim of this work is based on a literature review related to the placement of short implants in the posterior. The assessment of dental implant therapy requires recognition of the signs and symptoms that reflect the health and / or disease. Defined the clinical success of dental implants through a series of agreed criteria. " Interestingly, periimplant tissue health was also monitored by periodontal indices including redness (hyperemia). Hypertrophy or recession, and bleeding on probing "The clinical measurements of bone-implant contact is performed by measuring probing attachment levels. One of the key factors for long-term success of dental implants is the maintenance of healthy tissues around them. It has shown a cause-effect relationship between plaque accumulation and development of inflammatory changes in soft tissues around oral implants. The research presents the hypothesis on relationship between the variables and supported by the organized and systematic knowledge to answer the questions: "The success of clinical treatment with short implants in the posterior edentulous patients or in part dependent on bone quality. To ensure the success of treatment is preferable to graft bone especially when there is poor bone quality and overload
