dc.description.abstractLa Incontinencia urinaria, enfermedad frecuente en mujeres que en hombres, aumenta con la edad. Este trabajo fue realizado en el Hospital Enrique Sotomayor; se consideraron 4800 historias clínicas de las pacientes tratadas en el departamento de Urología en los años 2014 y 2015; mediante estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo no experimental, método utilizado la observación indirecta retrospectiva y transversal, se analizaron las historias clínicas de pacientes con Incontinencia Urinaria además de factores de riesgo asociados a la patología, bajo criterios de inclusión y exclusión fueron seleccionadas 581 historias clínicas. Una vez realizada la investigación se ingresaron los datos clasificados para analizarlos estadísticamente mediante el programa informático SPSS 22 empleando un nivel de significación de 0,05 evidenciándose los resultados; entre los tipos de incontinencia urinaria la de mayor prevalencia es la Incontinencia Urinaria de Esfuerzo que corresponden al 70% siendo notoria en pacientes cuyas edades se encuentran entre 55-65 años.es_ES

This work was performed at the Enrique Sotomayor Hospital; We considered 4800 medical records of patients treated in the state of Urology in the years 2014 and 2015; A quantitative approach, a non-experimental descriptive design, a retrospective and cross-sectional indirect method was used to analyze the clinical histories of patients with urinary incontinence in addition to the risk factors associated with the pathology, under inclusion and exclusion criteria 581 Clinical stories. Once the research was done, the data for the SPSS 22 software were inserted using a significance level of 0.05 and the results were evidenced; Among the types of urinary incontinence, the most prevalent is Urinary Incontinence of Effort, which corresponds to 70% and is notorious in patients whose ages are between 55-65 years.es_ES
