Prevalencia de caries en infantes de 6 a 8 años en la escuela Republica de Filipinas y de la parroquia rural Chacras Provincia de El Oro en el Periodo 2013

Resumen
La caries dental es uno de los grandes problemas de salud del ser humano,
se detectó la presencia de la misma en el año 3000 a c .La caries dental es
una enfermedad infecciosa crónica que puede afectar a cualquier edad, es
una de las enfermedades más comunes de la infancia. Cabe mencionar
que el término caries se utiliza para abarcar tanto al proceso de la
enfermedad y también sus consecuencias. Según la OMS en su programa
de Salud Oral Global la prevalencia de caries está disminuyendo en los
países desarrollados o industrializados, mientras aumenta en países en
desarrollo; el estudio es importante considerando que la mayoría de niños
del mundo viven en países en desarrollo. El objetivo de este estudio es
determinar la prevalencia de caries dental conocer las causas y factores
determinantes de caries dental; en niños de 6 a 8 años de edad que asisten
a la escuela República de Filipinas del Cantón Guayaquil y niños rurales
de la Parroquia Chacras Provincia de El Oro, para el estudio se utilizaron
dos índices los cuales son el CPO y el CEO. El total de la población
estudiada será de 91 niños, 52 de la escuela Republica de Filipinas del
sector Vergeles de la ciudad de Guayaquil y 39 niños de la parroquia
Chacras del Cantón Arenillas en la Provincia de El Oro , con un rango de
edad de 6 a 8 años. Se utilizó como instrumento una ficha odontológica la
cual consta de un odontograma, el cual sirvió para cuantificar las caries que
presenta cada niño de la escuela y una encuesta con preguntas
importantes para saber la razón de la presencia de caries dental.
Esta investigación es de tipo observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo y
transversal de escolares de 6 a 8 años Escuela Republica de Filipinas del
Cantón Guayaquil y de la Parroquia rural Chacras Provincia de El Oro”
Tooth decay is one of the great problems of human health, the presence of it was detected in 3000 BC. Dental caries is a chronic infectious disease that can affect any age, is one of the most common diseases childhood. It should be mentioned that the term cavity is used to encompass both the process of the disease and its consequences. According to the WHO's Global Oral Health program caries prevalence is decreasing in developed or industrialized countries , while increasing in developing countries ; the study is important considering that most children in the world live in developing countries. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of dental decay the causes and determinants of dental caries; in children 6-8 years of age attending the Republic of the Philippines School of Canton Guayaquil and rural children of the Parish Farms El Oro Province, to study two indices which are the CEO and CPO were used. The total study population will be 91 children, 52 of the Republic of the Philippines of the Orchards area of the city of Guayaquil and 39 children Chakras Arenillas Canton parish in the Province of El Oro School, ranging in age from 6 to 8 years. A dental record which consists of a dental chart, which served to quantify the decay that has every school boy and a survey with questions important to know the reason for the presence of dental caries is used as an instrument. This research is observational, descriptive, prospective and transversal school 6 to 8 years of the Republic of the Philippines School Canton Guayaquil and children of the rural parish of El Oro Province Chakras
