In recent years, a world current of people has emerged with a different way of promoting, practicing and offering services related to tourism in contact with nature and indigenous cultures, that is, to soak up what is typical of the region to be visited. It seeks to alter nature as little as possible and includes respecting wild flora and fauna, as well as local cultures. This vision of the use of natural resources opens up new possibilities of economic income. In addition, community tourism enterprises and networks have appeared on five continents. Latin America is a region of particular dynamism in this matter, with countries such as Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Argentina, which show an important development and level of organization of the offer. Tourism activities in rural areas of Latin America and the global consensus on the subject, simplistically link tourism as a solution to poverty and environmental protection, an activity that currently assumes a socio-economic role to achieve local development, for the generation of income and improves the living conditions of the resident population.
