dc.description.abstractEl proyecto de titulación tiene como objetivo desarrollar una aplicación móvil que se ejecute en el sistema operativo Android para que los docentes del Instituto Tecnológico Superior Vicente Rocafuerte, puedan registrar la asistencia de los estudiantes a cada una de sus clases, con la finalidad de cumplir con el Reglamento de Calificaciones de la institución. Se realizó una investigación de campo dirigidas a docentes, coordinador de tecnologías de información, coordinadores de carrera y autoridades de turno, para identificar los procesos de asistencia estudiantil y su tratamiento. Además, una investigación bibliográfica donde se recopiló información de fuentes como libros, revistas y sitios web especializados, con la finalidad de obtener un sólido fundamento teórico del proyecto. Por último, se desarrolló la aplicación utilizando una metodología ágil de desarrollo de software denominada Scrum. La aplicación fue desarrollada en la herramienta IONIC. Para la comunicación con el servidor de aplicaciones del Instituto, se crearon web services que permiten al sistema leer y escribir datos en la base de datos académica que se encuentra alojada en un servidor de la institución. La aplicación permite a los docentes aprovechar el tiempo que invierte en el registro y elaboración de informes de asistencias estudiantiles, disminuyendo la posibilidad de cometer errores en cálculos de porcentajes de cumplimiento de asistencia, y la entrega oportuna de dichos informes. La aplicación ha sido utilizada y valorada por los docentes del Instituto quienes han receptado las asistencias a través de la herramienta, cumpliendo con lo planificado al inicio del proyecto. Al finalizar el trabajo de titulación se concluye que la aplicación móvil cumple con las necesidades del Instituto ya que ha sistematizando el proceso de registro, almacenamiento, procesamiento y presentación de las asistencias de los estudiantes del instituto y de las actividades docentes realizadas.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe main objective of the degree project is to develop a mobile application that runs on the Android operating system so that teachers of the Vicente Rocafuerte Higher Technological Institute of the city of Guayaquil can register the attendance of students to each of their classes, in order to comply with the Institutions Qualification Regulations. A field investigation was conducted through interviews and surveys aimed at teachers, information technology coordinator, career coordinators and shift authorities, to identify student assistance processes and their treatment. In addition, a bibliographical investigation where information was collected from sources such as books, magazines and specialized websites, in order to obtain a solid theoretical foundation of the project. Finally, the mobile application was developed using an agile methodology of software development called Scrum, in which the proposed solution is being built incrementally. The mobile application was developed in the IONIC tool, which is an application development framework that uses the Java programming language as a basis. For communication with the Institute's application server, web services were created that allow the mobile system to read and write data in the academic database that is hosted on a server of the institution. The application allows teachers to take better advantage of the time they invest in the registration and preparation of student attendance reports, reducing the possibility of making errors in calculations of attendance compliance percentages, and timely delivery of said reports. The application has been used and valued by the teachers of the Institute who have received the assistance through the tool, complying with what was planned at the beginning of the project. At the end of the degree work it is concluded that the mobile application meets the needs of the Institute since it has systematized the process of registration, storage, processing and presentation of the attendance of the students of the institute and of the teaching activities carried out.es_ES
