dc.description.abstractEl abuso del alcohol etílico es un problema tanto social como económico. Un alto porcentaje de situaciones delictivas se cometen bajo el efecto del alcohol. Está implicado en más de la mitad de accidentes de tránsito y muertes accidentales. En los laboratorios de alcoholemia de la Comisión de Tránsito del Guayas, se efectúa la determinación de la concentración de alcohol en sangre de los conductores de vehículos motorizados que hayan sido detenidos por manejar en presunto estado de embriaguez. Mediante este examen se determina si el paciente se encuentra dentro de los límites de alcoholemia permitida (menos de 0.80 g/l) o si la ha excedido. Nuestro estudio lo realizamos en el laboratorio de alcoholemia centro, en la ciudad de Guayaquil, para lo cual realizamos un trabajo tipo retrospectivo – descriptivo, acerca de la utilidad del test de alcoholemia como predictor de riesgo de accidentes de tránsito en la Provincia del Guayas. Nuestro Universo lo constituye todos los conductores a los que se realizó el test de alcoholemia en el Laboratorio de Alcoholemia Centro durante el periodo de Enero a Marzo de 2003.  es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe abuse of the ethylic alcohol is a problem so much social as economic. A high percentage of criminal situations is made under the effect of the alcohol. It is implied in more than half of accidents of I traffic and accidental deaths. In the laboratories of alcohol rate of the Commission of I Traffic of the Guayas, the determination of the concentration of alcohol is made in blood of the drivers of motorized vehicles that they have been stopped to manage in presumed state of intoxication. By means of this exam it is determined if the patient is inside you limit them of allowed alcohol rate (less than 0.80 g/l) or if you/he/she has exceeded it. Our study carries out it in the laboratory of alcohol rate center, in the city of Guayaquil, for that which we carry out a work retrospective type - descriptive, about the utility of the alcohol rate test like predictor of risk of accidents of I traffic in the County of the Guayas. Our Universe constitutes it all the drivers to those that one carries out the alcohol rate test in Alcoholemia Center's Laboratory during the period of January to March of 2003.es_ES
