| es_ES |

To carry out this research, four groups of six mice were formed: Negative control group (I) treated with carrageenan to induce inflammation and a solution of Sodium Chloride, positive control group (II) which was treated with carrageenan and Indomethacin, two experimental groups (III and IV) treated with carrageenan and 400 mg / kg of the ethanolic extracts of rhizomes and leaves respectively. The application of the treatments was carried out in the muscles of the legs of the biomodels and the volumes of the inflamed leg were measured at 1, 2, 3 and 5 hours after the administration of carrageenan. The difference between the initial value and subsequent readings for each study time yielded the volume of edema. According to the results, it was concluded that the extract with the highest anti- inflammatory activity was that of the leaves with an inhibition percentage of 52.94% at 5 hours after the application of carrageenan compared to 49.57% of the extract. ethanolic of the rhizome. | es_ES |
