Resumen
La política de Hospitales Seguros implementada por el Gobierno Nacional sumado al esfuerzo que se viene desarrollando desde el 2008 para poder mitigar los efectos de Desastres sean estos de origen natural, antrópico o socio – natural, busca el poder garantizar la atención de los Servicios de Salud, a pesar de las posibles consecuencias que estos eventos generan, aliviando el dolor físico y emocional en la población. El Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor es el Hospital de Referencia en la Provincia de Santa Elena, este centro de salud no se encuentra exento de sufrir un evento de grandes magnitudes, particularmente de carácter sísmico, por lo que conocer su capacidad resolutiva y establecer las contingencias para una adecuada reacción ante una posible amenaza sísmica son el principal objetivo del presente trabajo, buscando disminuir los posibles efectos en la infraestructura hospitalaria y preservando la vida de los usuarios internos y externos que ahí laboran o se atienden.
The Hospitals Insurance Policy implemented by the national government, joined the effort that has been developing since 2008 to mitigate the effects of disasters whether of natural, anthropogenic or social origin- naturally seeks to guarantee the services of the Health Services, despite the possible consequences that these events generate, relieving physical and emotional pain in the population. Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital is the reference hospital in the Province of Santa Elena, this health center is not exempt from suffering an event of great magnitude, particularly of seismic character, so knowing their operational capacity and establishing contingencies for an adequate response to a potential seismic hazard is a main objective of this present work, seeking to reduce the possible effects on hospital infrastructure and preserving the lives of internal and external users who attend or work there.
